The Pregnancy Resource Center is managed by a very professional and skilled staff. Currently there are seven staff workers dedicated to the PRCG and two dedicated staff members in the IMPACT Program (Abstinence Until Marriage). Each staff member is part time; however, they work well beyond their scheduled hours to meet the demands of the community. This does not include the sixty faithful volunteers who minister to the clients.
Executive Director, Bobbie Kern has been with the Center for 10 years. Bobbie came to PRCG as a volunteer while still working as an executive in corporate America. During her volunteering time she realized her calling was for full-time ministry and retired from the secular world to follow the calling God had placed on her heart. Bobbie started as a volunteer, became a Board member after 2 years, held the office of Board President for 3.5 years, then accepted the position of Executive Director. Bobbie not only serves as the E.D. of the PRCG but is also a Christian Counselor, Director of Women's Enrichment Ministry for the Gwinnett Metro Baptist Association and a motivational speaker. You may have seen her on CNN, TV57 or caught her article in the Gwinnett Business Journal. Bobbie is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Center, budget, personnel, fund raising events, speaking to churches and community organizations, and of course working with clients and staff in fullfiling our mission.
Client Services Manager, Joan Bennett joined the PRCG staff in 2009 having extensive and successful experience in teaching in public, private, and home school venues. She has also served as consultant in an association for Christian schools. Her prior experience as Executive Assistant in a local corporate office will be an asset in her current position. Joan will coordinate the efforts of our valued volunteer staff in the areas of enlistment, training, evaluation, appreciation, scheduling and support.
Regional Phone Center Manager, Lana Duffel is an active member of First Baptist Church of Loganville where she serves as Co-Chairperson of the Servants Ministry and serves on many church projects and activities.
Prior to joining the PRCG in March of 2006 Lana held postions in areas in Public Relations and Customer Service. Lana views herself as the "first line of defense" for the unborn children by ministering to each caller regarding life choices. Lana addresses such topics as abortion risk, abortion alternatives and parenting. She loves using her voice for Jesus by relaying important information that will help each caller make the right decision about their pregnancy. Lana also prepares monthly reports and stats on every call that is taken for the phone center.
IMPACT Manager, Jennifer Orton, has been associated with the Center since 2008. IMPACT is the program where we teach the "Abstinence Until Marriage" message in Gwinnett County Middle and High Schools as well as Student/Parent Assemblies in Walton County.
Jennifer's responsiblities include, but are not limited to the following: program management and curriculum evaluation, development and implemention of abstinence curriculum trainings, supervising and evaluating a bureau of 13 speakers and staff, developing and maintaining relationships with county health teachers/schools and Board of Education members. Jennifer sits on the Community Health Education Advisory Committee (CHEAC) as a liaison for the PRCG. She researches CDC and government sites for current stats on STD's and teen health issues. Her responsibilities also include managing a budget of approximately $200k per year and handling speaking engagements within the community.
We also have three other part time staff members who support various areas of the ministry:
